Title: VoiceMail Indicator, Still Doesn't work...
Post by: 1arlenethomas on March 13, 2012, 08:38:44 PM
There seem to be more threads than I have fingers and toes,  but I still don't have it working consistently.

Is there any definitive guide out there?  Can someone post screenshots?

The current firmware version is 1.3.0 (Build: 2690).  Are you running at least 1.3.0 (Build: 2675) on your Obi?  If not, ***6 could help.

Running current firmware.

How 'bout this:  $10 via Paypal to anyone who posts working images of the necessary setup screens?

No need for $10 via Paypal.  Simply set:

Voice Services -> SPx Service -> MWIEnable : (checked)
Voice Services -> SPx Service -> X_VMWIEnable : (checked)
Voice Services -> SPx Service -> MessageWaiting : (unchecked) (Default unchecked)

Sorry, but as one who spent about a week troubleshooting the exact same problem, your recommendation is only part of the answer. See http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r26985617-Other-Porting-and-Dial-Tones-Other-Anveo-Issues (http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r26985617-Other-Porting-and-Dial-Tones-Other-Anveo-Issues) and scroll down past our discussion of whole house VOIP (go down to message dates of 3/9 and later). You will see in there the several things you must check (such as router config, etc).

Hope this helps because I was as frustrated as you sound  ;D

It may depend on your phone.
Not sure what kind of phone you have but
on my Panasonic model you can turn on
VM tone detection on/off with (MENU) ---> (#)(3)(3)(2)
