Title: Strange Syslog messages
Post by: stevea on March 17, 2011, 12:22:32 PM
I've been experiencing some voice dropout (probably my cable company) so I enabled the syslog feature and started capturing messages.   It seems that about 20 times per minute the Obi110 w/ (1892 firmware) generates a syslog message:

<b8> CID message unusually long!

Is this odd behavior expected ?

At the default Level 7, I'm not seeing that with v1.2.0 (build 2052) [beta].

I just noticed the same thing today - coincidentally shortly after getting off the phone with Verizon and canceling our landline, and probably around the time that the voltage on said landline dropped to zero.

Where did you get this beta firmware?

It was released to a limited number of people about a week ago but is no longer available.  The next official release firmware is reported to be coming out in 1 - 2 weeks.

Thanks RonR, srhuston, all,

Sounds like "not a problem" so I'll just wait for the firmware update.
