Title: Code to change to SP2
Post by: Spikexp on December 22, 2012, 02:16:14 PM
Hi,

I want to do something with my Obi.

Here is my situation,
I have my obi110 with :
SP1 as voip.ms (incoming/outgoing)
SP2 GV

I want to be able to enter a code before the phone number so that the SP2 is use. I want to use it for long or not important phone call.

Is there a way to do that?

I don't really understand the obi interface, there are so much option.

Thank you.

Spikexp,

Welcome,

Dial **2+number to force the call over SP2.

If most calls are going out SP1 consider doing this: Phone PrimaryLine = SP1

Well, now that was easy  ;D

Thank you, it's easier than I thought.

I think QBZappy meant to say in the last line:
QuoteIf most calls are going out SP2 consider doing this: Phone PrimaryLine = SP2

I assume (and first part of QBZappy's advice assumes) that your current primary line is SP1. That's why you need to force the call over SP2 through **2. If you make SP2 your primary line, you will need to dial **1+number if you want to force calls via SP1. Hopefully, this wasn't too confusing  :)

Finally, **2 and **1 are defaults, but configurable. I changed my Dad's device to use just * to force non-default line.
