Title: [Solved]PBxes/Sipdroid/Obi 110: can I call an obi through Sipdroid?
Post by: Robert.Thompson on January 22, 2013, 12:17:46 PM
Hello:
I have Sipdroid installed on my android phone and I have my home as extension 100 on PBxes.

My friend, in Florida, has an Obi 110.

Does his OBi have a SIP number? That is, aside from setting up a 'classic' extension with his Voip.ms telephone number in PBxes, is there a 'Sipdoid/PBxes' way to call him?

Sorry if I am using the wrong words and/or thinking in this post.

Thanks,

Rob.

Hello:

For those interested, I got this reply on a different forum:

"The straightforward way is for OBi to register to PBXes, same as registering to a VoIP provider. However, this requires an SPx slot. If you don't have one available, you could reach the OBi via SIP URI (using port forwarding and dynamic DNS if needed), or via e.g. iNum, if one of the providers on the OBi offers an iNum.

The above assumes that you just want to call the phone attached to the OBi, or make calls via the OBi's AA. If you want to access the connected POTS line (OBi110) or VoIP services on the OBi, without two-stage dialing, you can set up the OBi as a sub-PBX, though that does require an SPx slot."
