Title: FreePhoneLine
Post by: damir on February 09, 2013, 09:37:21 AM
Hello,

I have OBi202, thinking about signing up with freephoneline.ca service.

Do i need any specific configuration? And also, would you recommend this provider?

Thanks,
damir

I have been using them for 3 years.  Ported my original Bell home phone number.  I have also helped several friends get set up. All are happy with the quality and features.  Porting and one time fee cost $75.  Shouldn't take more than a couple months to recoup those costs.

Works great with the obi to have both a Canadian and Google Voice number running on the same line.

They will also charge you $50 for the release of config info
so you can set up with obi, imo just not worth the BS and
added cost.
Message system with them is very iffy and no one i know has
been able to getting message notification to work.
anveo is cheaper and more reliable, imo.
anveo give you the config codes and charges nothing for it.

Cost depends on your needs. Fpl is one time $50 cost for unlimited incoming and unlimited outgoing Canadian calling.
