Title: call history End Call time for line port when call answered by another phone
Post by: rob613 on April 11, 2013, 08:20:48 PM
Is it possible for the Obi to detect when an inbound PSTN call is answered by another device on the same line, and keep monitoring the in-use line port and record an actual end time for the call rather than the time when it stopped ringing?

Is it possible to detect if someone used the flash function on the line such as to trigger call waiting or 3-way calling?  If so it might be unknown or ambiguously reported as to when the incoming call really ends.

If a call is answered by the handset on the obi's phone port, what is used for the end time, and what, if any, other events might get recorded in the call history page?   For example does the Obi read call-waiting-caller-ID if a call was answered by its phone port?   And could it possibly listen for that even if a different phone was answered?
