Title: how does one configure outbound caller ID spoofing on Anveo or PhonePower?
Post by: onepolarbear on June 01, 2014, 08:42:20 PM
how does one configure outbound caller ID spoofing on Anveo or PhonePower?
(specifically, using my existing Google Voice number as the number shown on
outbound caller ID)

I haven't signed up with either one just yet... only want to make sure that I'll
have no trouble with caller ID spoofing.

Thanks!

Can't speak for Anveo, but on Phonepower, it's an option you configure during account sign-up. There's no way of changing it in the control panel or online later, so get it right the first time!  :)

For Anveo, you can set up one or more phone numbers and verify them through automated calls, and then you can choose any one of them as the default outbound caller ID.  You can also choose any of them for each call by adding a prefix.

Now that GV is working on Obi again I wanted to spoof my work number and adamantly they said they wouldn't/couldn't do it "PERIOD" - anyone else have luck spoofing a new number on PhonePower?

I think you got that response because it's a work number (i.e., one you don't own).
