Title: Managing my packets
Post by: rousseau1 on November 23, 2014, 10:00:53 AM
Thank you to OBIHAI, my OBI 110 has saved me a lot of $ and I am close to homeostasis regarding QOS and reliability..now I would like to make sure that I have it secure.
I have a server on my LAN and I use GV (dedicated Google account) while trying to upgrade my hardware is trying to say the least and I was wondering if it would be more secure to port forward traffic or create some sort of DMZ with some of the unmanaged switches that I have laying around? Security trumps reliability..but redundancy would be bliss.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.

Port forwarding and putting anything in the DMZ will make you LESS secure.
