Unfortunately, according to the
sipbroker.com, all those well-known consumer-friendly VOIP service providers do not provide in-bound SIP calls ( like
toronto.voip.ms, Aveno, Vonage, etc. ). A lot of small obscure little-known techie service providers make up that list instead. Why? Does supporting such feature adding a lot of stress to the servers for the mainstream service providers?
I do not like iNum. I think it adds an extra layer of translation to the process, thus creating one more weakest link to the chain. I prefer making a SIP call directly.
2. It is also possible to SIP call an Obi directly even if not SIP registered to any ITSP. I guess you mean direct IP address dialing. Then only the old Windows XP phone dialer application can do that. Right?
