How do I receive two incoming calls on same number with Obihai 2 phone system.

I have one number that I want to ring phone 2 when phone 1 is on the line.  Is this even possible?  I was attempting to use this as a new type of ATA for our VoIP services.  I will connect phone 1 to line 1 of phone system and phone 2 line 2 of phone system.  That is my end game, whether that is possible with this unit is my question.  Thanks

I'm going to assume you have an OBi202 unit... who is your service provider?

Some service providers allow you to define a DID ring group that rings more than one destination.  When phone1 is busy, phone2 will still ring.  (A hunt group would do similar sequentially).

This can also be done/set in the OBi Voice Service:

SP1 Service - SP1 Service::X_InboundCallRoute = ph1,ph2

When DID calls SP1, both phones ring.

Some service providers allow you to set an on-busy failover destination.  When SP1 to phone1 is busy (or no-answer if using call waiting), the provider will route the call to a second destination, SP2 to phone2.

This can also be done/set in the OBi Voice Service:

SP1 Service - Calling Features::CallForwardOnBusyNumber = number

When DID calls SP1, if busy, the OBi will forward to the number, presumably a second DID routed to SP2 phone2 (a billing hit?).  I've not tried this... maybe the number can be ph2?

And there may be additional ways to meet your needs.

In my case, I want all incoming calls to ring both phone systems
If one person is on phone 1, other incoming calls go to phone 2
also, you can answer any call, on phone 1 or phone 2

I configured my 202 to ring both phone jacks when any call comes in.
(the only possibly bad feature, is that you will hear the call waiting beep, in addition to the other Phone system ringing)

Phone 1 -- Phone Rings on Incoming Calls from:    SP1,SP2,SP3,SP4,BT
Phone 2 -- Phone Rings on Incoming Calls from:    SP1,SP2,SP3,SP4,BT

Mind sharing that configuration with us?
