obi100 is blinking red. unit does not work. I changed out the cables and rebooted it and it did not work.

Blinking red is not one of the conditions listed at http://www.obihai.com/faq/Troubleshooting-sec but try a factory reset.

hi after looking again it is alternately blinking green and red. because there is no signal to the phone i cannot get an ip address. is there an ip address i can use?

Did you upgrade the firmware and/or factory reset it?  What else?

 hi support says keep it plugged in and give them the adapter number.which i did. this happened as a result of my cable modem malfunctioning. i was going to start from the begining and resetting it, plus all the other steps. the next day i took it out to reset it, and it started working again. are they able to repair this thru cyberspace? i'm surprised but it is working.
