How about July 31 (that's the date on the file)?

I would have expected ***6 to give me that release......

Loaded now -- So why aren't they offering it via ***6 / portal?

lrosenman; I used the link provided by corporate_gadfly and indeed got 4822, however I can't find the release note you reference that shows 4822? Anyway, since it isn't shown on the portal and my Obi 200 is 1000 miles from me I guess it will have to wait to get loaded.

If you go to the Obihai web site, and click on the links leading to updating the firmware (from http://www.obihai.com/docs-downloads), it directs you to here http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=9.0 for the "latest firmware".

There, it says:
OBi200/202/300/302: http://fw.obihai.com/OBi2-latest.fw
3-0-1-4738 (10.4MB)
Last Update May 2015

So, corporate_gadfly, how did you come across your link?  I even tried fw.obihai.com, but that also brought me back to the obitalk site.

By the way, there does not seem to be an equivalent for the Obi200, just the 202.

Can't remember, but way back, I had seen the firmware files being named with a specific pattern so I applied the same pattern for 4822. The older files are still there, if you go by that pattern. E.g., http://fw.obihai.com/OBi202-3-0-1-4412.fw.

This could be a moot point (and I think it happened for a short period already) when downgrading a firmware will be completely forbidden by Obi. At least, by storing these files locally and being able to access them from OBis website there is some chance of doing that. Freedom (with a grain of salt).

Now if only OBi would display MD5 hash and full file sizes then we would be able to determine whether the files are legit and non-corrupted during transit. It would be even better if they were signed as well. Oh, well!

Uses the same chipset, so same firmware.

Ellipse

This is an issue across products.

The latest firmware for the OBiPhone devices is 5.0.0.2895, but the download is only there for 5.0.0.2860.

Also, the documentation needs to be updated when there are new features or settings added so we know how to use them.
