Can I change obi phone number that came with OBi200?

The obi box number is set to the box. That can not be changed. Any other number, like the GV number, or the number for a paid provider can be changed

I'm new to the forum,  and your question provided information I've been trying to find for a week.  This is the first reference to a number that comes with a new ATA from OBi.  My unit is on order a hopefully here within a week.  Why has this information been so hard to come by? Is this a number that can be used until my current land line is ported? Can it be used after that?

The OBi number can only be used to call to, and be called by, other OBi ATAs, OBi IP phones and OBion softphones.  It is additional to a DID number you get from any other Internet Telephony Service Provider.

It's not a phone number, it just looks like one. Think of it as a serial number. It can be used to talk "box to box" but it isn't a phone number.
