Hi -
I have a new 1022 and recently have added Aveo's 911 service.  I would like to dial their 933 to verify, but I don't seem to have something setup correctly :'(

For the ITSP Profile A General, I altered the DigitMap to:
(1xxxxxxxxxx|<1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|011xx.|xx.|9xx(Mipd)|[^*#]@@.)

Does this need an edit or?

Thanks!

azrobert

OBiHai processes 911 separately. To be consistent do the following:

You should have 911 in the Phone Port DigitMap
Change it to 911|933

You will also have {911:sp1} in the Phone Port OutboundCallRoute
Change it to {911|933:sp1}

By doing this you will also see if 911 was setup correctly.

Did you add 9xx to the ITSP A DigitMap?
Your mistake was not including the vertical bar separator.

933 still should have worked because it will match xx. but will have a 10 second delay.

deinck

thanks azrobert, as you're always a great help!

So currently this is what I have for the  ITSP A DigitMap:
(1xxxxxxxxxx|<1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|011xx.|xx.|911|933|(Mipd)|[^*#]@@.)
Yes, I had added the 9xx ...now edited to that 911|933...look OK?

What section is the Phone Port OutboundCallRoute in?

thanks!

azrobert

Looks good.
Just make sure 911 in the Phone Port OutboundCallRoute is being routed to SP1.
If you want you can remove {911:sp1} from the OutboundCallRoute.
It can be found here:
Physical Interfaces -> Phone1/2 Port

deinck

hmm, I don't seem to have a Physical Interfaces -> Phone1/2 Port unless I'm blind?  Attached is a screenshot (capture.png) of what I see.  Setup.png shows the device setup

Thanks!

azrobert

I'm sorry! You have an IP phone, not an ATA.
IP Phone -> Phone Settings

deinck

ah - no worries!
Fiound it I think, but don't see exactly what youre referring to?:
(877) 250-5823:sp4},{(<##:>):li},{(<**70:>(Mli)):li},{(<**8:>(Mbt)):bt},{(<**9:>(Mpp)):pp},{(Mpli):pli}
Is it just the bolded part?

azrobert

You're set with emergency numbers. The ITSP A will route the calls correctly.

The default configuration will not have these rules in the OutboundCallRoute. I assumed on the dashboard you selected SP1 to be used for emergency calls.

Rule (877) 250-5823:sp4} doesn't look correct.
Does it work?
It should begin with a {
Also, I know the OBi will ignore blanks, but I don't think it will ignore dashes.

deinck

yeah, that 877 looks to work just fine, so dunno.
I did just test the 933 # to confirm with Aveo (911 svc) and it still doesn't look to go through tho :-(
thanks for confirming the rest :-)

azrobert

What happens when you dial 933?
Is SP1 your Primary Line?

IP Phone -> Phone Settings -> Primary Line

deinck

I get 'could not complete your call' error.
yes, primary line is SP1

azrobert

That doesn't sound like an OBi1022 error message, so I think Anveo is rejecting the call. Check the call history to verify this.

To access Call History:
Log directly into the OBi1022 using the local interface.
Key the IP address of the OBi1022 into a Web Browser.
Hit Enter
The UserID and default Password are both "admin".
Click Status on the left column then click Call History.

It should show:
From PH1    To SP1(933)
                      Ringing
                      Call Connected

Appears that its connecting (attached)

You have SP1 configured to use Google Voice, so the 9xx call is going out via Google Voice, which is, as designed, telling you it can't complete the call.  This is shown in your reply #4.

This mess could have been avoided if you had simply used the OBiTALK portal to set up the two service providers, vs. all that digit map editing.

Both the gVoice (sp1) & Aveo 911 (sp2) were auto-config'd when first setup, but SP1 still failed to call out on any 9**, # hence the perceived digit map edits required & even Aveo support stated so. I would have loved for it to be simpler for sure.  If you're certain I can leave well enough alone, what's now stopping me from just again selecting the default checkbox in the expert interface then if it will all work as you state the portal will do it all just right?

thanks to both!

azrobert

You can leave all the DigitMaps unchanged.
You need to route these calls to SP2.
Just change the Phone Port OutboundCallRoute to:
{911|933:sp2},{(877) 250-5823:sp4},{(<##:>):li},{(<**70:>(Mli)):li},{(<**8:>(Mbt)):bt},{(<**9:>(Mpp)):pp},{(Mpli):pli}

deinck

yay - that worked!  phew!

Thanks a ton!
