constant frustration with Obi wifi plug

I am experiencing constant problems with the Obi wifi plug that I use for wireless access with my Obi 200 device.  About once a week, it looses connection.  And of course I am not aware of that so I lose phone calls.  And most of the time even when its working it drops the call in the middle after a few minutes.  What can I do about this?  A hardwired connection isn't an option because the obi device cannot be near my router.

I'm glad that this works for you.  But I would just like to get my moneys worth for what I paid for and not have to spend a huge amount for another ugly big device.

Can you set a laptop near the obi and connect to your wireless network to observe your wifi signal strength? It might be somewhat marginal.
Try turning off your router's wifi encryption temporarily to see if that's the issue.
