Hello:

I setup a brand new Obi200 through the Obitalk website to use the "Anveo for Obi" Canada Unlimited plan but I cannot make nor recieve calls:

Here are the symptoms:

  • Anveo is "Registered" at ObiTalk
  • The Obi200 is "Registered at Anveo"
  • Incoming calls do not ring the phone attached to the Obi.
  • I get a dial-tone.
  • **9 222 222 222 works.
  • When I dial a real phone number, nothing happens, except for dead air.
  • Call history shows my outgoing calls only but see # 2 below.
  • Anveo CDR shows incoming calls only but see # 2 below.

Here are the last 3 enteries from my Support Ticket with Anveo:

1) Me:
Hello: I just did a factory reset to the obi200, then deleted it from obitalk, then added it back to obitalk, then resetup the obi by going to https://www.obitalk.com/obinet/pg/services/itsp?i=anveo. Cannot call out. Incoming calls do not ring the phone attached to the Obi but appear in the CDR. Rob.

2) Anveo:
Please contact to OBI customer support for the further assistance. I've connected my phone to your account and I was able to make receive calls. 3) Anveo:
Our Dev.Team has suggested you contact to OBI because the issue can e related with firmware updates which pushed by OBI

I have sent an email to support@obihai.com but was hoping that someone here might have the solution to this problem.

Thanks,
Rob.

Well you may as well look into the FW as Anveo noted.

Dial ***0, then when you you get an answer hit 1#.

I believe for your 200 the latest FW is 5562.

Worth a shot updating if you have something earlier.

A long discussion here:

Thanks Jackson. :)

My value is: 5463.

Latest firmware for your device is 5657. Download and update manually.

Since you are using Anveo for OBitalk, Obihai support should be the one assisting you with this as your OBi gets automatically provisioned. Trying to troubleshoot a configuration that gets automatically provisioned can be problematic.

Seems rather odd your 110 suddenly started working with Anveo again.

Quote from: RobertThompsonFor whatever reason, this Obi110 is now working fine with Anveo...

Thanks Toaman. :)

I downloaded and installed the latest FW from the link that you provided but still cannot make or receive calls.

Obihai support asked me to setup GV on SP2, which I did, and that works fine - just as does voip.ms

"Seems rather odd your 110 suddenly started working with Anveo again."  Yes, but not as odd as it stopping in the first place, especially when it is setup at a cottage and used only on the weekends.

Anyway, I have done what Obihai Support requested and notified them of the results.

I setup the obi200 manually instead of using the provided "auto provisioning" link.

It works now!

Anveo is looking into the bug in their auto provisioning routine.
