I have a google voice number and callcentric for caller id and 911.  When I call my GV number, my vtech phone rings normally once and then does a series of 2 short rings after that.  I think I have to access the IP address of the obi200 to change it but there are a bazillion options and I don't know what to change.  i would like the phone to ring normally instead of the short rings.  Can anyone offer any assistance?  Thank you.

You first need to be certain that it is a setting in your OBi that you need to change.  There are three reasons I say that:

1.  What you describe is not the default for an OBi.  If yours has changed then you or someone else has changed it.

2.  The ringer on many cordless phones does not follow the ring cadence sent them.  They use the presence of any ringing pattern to turn on the ringer with its own pattern.

3.  Some cordless phones can be set to recognise specific Caller IDs as belonging to one of a small number of groups and use a different ringing pattern for each group.

Notwithstanding the above if you conclude that you do need to adjust the OBi proceed as follows.  As you mention Google Voice it is highly likely that you have configured your OBi using the Dashboard on the portal at obitalk.com in which case do NOT use the IP address of your OBi device.

Log in to your Dashboard and under My Devices you will see your OBi200.  If you don't see the SP1 to SP4 list below it, click the 'Expand' at the right hand end of the line.  Note which SP is configured for Google Voice - probably SP1.

Click on the cogwheel* containing a red E.  Click on Voice Services.  Click on whichever of SP1 to SP4 you noted earlier.  Find the line beginning X_RingProfile.  See if that has an A in the drop down menu.  If it shows B, click the two boxes at the right hand end until they are both clear, then the drop down will become active.

Further down that section is X_DefaultRing.  The default is 1.  The dropdown allows you to choose from 1 to 10.

If you have made any changes scroll to the bottom and click on Submit and your OBi will shortly reboot with the changes active.

(* If that cogwheel with red E is not visible, click on Edit Profile, scroll to the bottom and tick the box Enable OBi Expert Entry from Dashboard.  Click Submit.)
