first of all, my obi100 stopped communicating to the dashboard. my dashboard says it's offline. when I checked the status, it says it doesn't have an ip address. I tried rebooting it and rebooting my router, with no success. I finally was able to set an ip manually and was able to configure it with google voice.

I added this:
<1AAA>[2-9]xxxxxxx

where AAA is my area code,
in the DigitMap but it still won't dial correctly.

when I check the call history, it is still dialing the 7 numbers I dialed. instead of the 1AAA plus the number I dialed to make a call.

am I missing something?

If you're configuring the OBi directly, make sure you have set:

System Management -> Auto Provisioning -> Auto Prvisioning -> Method : Disabled

If you're going to qualify the first digit ([2-9]), then you only want 6 additional digits (xxxxxx) -- you have 7.

Are you adding the 7-digit dialing rule to the proper DigitMap?

SP1/ITSPA : Service Providers -> ITSP Profile A -> General -> DigitMap : (<1aaa>[2-9]xxxxxx|...)

SP2/ITSPB : Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> General -> DigitMap : (<1aaa>[2-9]xxxxxx|...)

LINE Port : Physical Interfaces -> LINE Port -> DigitMap : (<1aaa>[2-9]xxxxxx|...)
