ok, I've been reading alot...

I have an OBi110, used successfully for Many years... thanks FW
I bought an OBi200 because of emails warning EOL issues...
last week, Had to change over... now, the old OBi110 has a 'line' and 'phone' jack... OBi200 only has phone jack.
I still have a land line... (wife , long story) ... ok, I can call OUT with my cordless phones...works fine (using OBi200 I believe), but, ONLY incoming calls come on land line... oh, I also have google voice...
so, ALL I want, is the system I had working befor, seamless, calls IN or Out... using cordless phones. (my landline is on a corded phone now, so, when someone calls, well, we have to get UP to answer it.
does this make any sense to you all? I have read, buy this, buy that.. so confusing, ... don't hook up OBi200 to landline, it will fry... so, pls, can this be done, LIKE befor, with what I have? thanks very much

thank you drgeoff, no, I didn't see that one... I'm reading it now.... having done these 'tricks' for many years, I am/Was able to follow directions.. its getting more difficult... I will read, and re-read, and attempt to follow thru, again thanks for the tip, and, thanks to azrobert for writing it up.

btw 64 views, and only your reply, so, I'm thinking I'm not alone in my confusion... hope this helps many others too.

The ratio of views to replies is disconcertingly high on almost any topic.  :(

That code is for a phone connected to the OBi110 to access GV on an OBi200. It will override the Primary Line setting and send all un-prefixed numbers to the OBi200, so you will need an "**8" prefix to route calls to PSTN. A phone connected to the OBi200 will not be able to access PSTN.

The code can be modified to do any routing you want.

Do you want to connect your cordless phone to the OBi200?
If yes, do you want GV or PSTN as your Primary Line?
If GV is your Primary line you need a prefix to route calls to PSTN.
"**8" on the OBi200 is used to route calls to Bluetooth.
Do you want "**8* disabled for BT and used for PSTN?
The OBi200 default for PSTN is "**70".
You can use any prefix you want.
I use "9" to route calls to PSTN.

Will you have a phone connected to the OBi110 and used for GV?
This will give you a 2nd GV line.

I might have more questions depending on your answers.

ok, ... a headcold Isn't helping my thinking today...but, I'll try

so, do I, hook Both OBi110, and OBi200 to my router?

on, OBi110, line from landline? phone, to OBi200? .. OBi200 phone From OBi110 phone?

I do NOT know or use my google phone #... all friends/family call my landline number... I just want, the land line number to Ring, and answer, on my cordless phones (as befor) ... now, I can call OUT with them, but, I can ONLY answer calls on my stationary landline phone..

I do appriciate all help, sorry its kinda confusing to me, HOW DO you all understand this stuff? rocket scientists for a living? Hope my explaintions/requests are clear enough... thanks so much!

Both OBi110 and Obi200 plugged in to router.

Landline plugged in to Obi110.

Phone plugged in to Obi110.

GV service deleted from OBi110.

GV service added to OBi200 on SP4.

The following is copied from azrobert's initial post in the thread I referenced, with OBi100 changed to OBi110.

After defining GV on the OBi200, use OBI Expert to change the routing rules.

OBi200

Define the OBi110 GV account on SP4

Voice Services -> SP4 Service -> X_InboundCallRoute: pp(200222222)

Voice Services -> OBiTalk Service -> InboundCallRoute:
{200222222:sp4}

Replace 200222222 with the OBi number of the OBi110 in both above places.

OBi110.

Physical Interfaces -> Phone Port -> OutboundCallRoute:
The 1st rule is: {([1-9]x?*(Mpli)):pp}
Change it to: {(<510111111*>(Mpli)):pp}

Replace 510111111 with OBi number of the OBi200

Voice Services -> OBiTalk Service -> InboundCallRoute: ph

I have not actually tested the above so maybe wait for azrobert to cast his beady eyes over it.  :)

as Hard as I try.. OBi Expert, won't let me enter any typing... I feel I am Close... but, no cigar...

ok, rebooted pc, still Can't type to change settings but...

phone IS working now how I want, will it last? I dunno, but, its enough of a headache for today,

thanks so much for the help getting me this far... hope others can benefit

drgeoff

You must clear any ticks in both boxes at the right hand end of the line you want to change.  Then click on 'Submit' at the bottom of the page and wait for your OBi to reboot automatically

Redw00d

thanks again drgeoff, I got that now... but

its Working! do I dare, mess with success? kinda afraid to... I'll let you know...
