What is my OBi trying to contact?

I noticed this in my router logs - 10.0.0.9 is my OBi 100:

IPv4: martian destination 0.21.70.84 from 10.0.0.9, dev eth1
IPv4: martian destination 0.72.219.116 from 10.0.0.9, dev eth1

Using PhonePower, so I suppose it could be related to them, but I don't see anything in the config that even partially matches those (invalid) IPs...It's trying to hit that 0.21.70.84 rather regularly - The other one only showed up once...

Some will be packets to your provider to stay registered.

Do you know the status info on ObiTalk? That involves some communication to OBi servers. Did you know that you can call OBi to OBi without setting up an SP? How about the echo test.... those involve communication with OBi servers. Some work hard to block that stuff once things are set up. Most of us don't.

The IPs it's trying to contact aren't valid, so whatever it's trying to do isn't accomplishing anything...Sometimes "martian" destinations are related to IP spoofing that can involve viruses/botnets, so that's why I was concerned.

Perhaps the leading 0 has something to do with multicast.
Long live our new ObiLords!
