I'm thinking of setting up (5) googlevoice lines and one tollfree number this possible?

That would require 3 OBi units as each unit can only support 2 GV(or "registered" SIP) accounts.

hmmm... so why does the Obi allow us to create more than 2 lines out of curiosity?

You can have voice gateways, which don't register to the provider, as long as the provider supports that. Also, to have a voice gateway work, you must have either SP1 or SP2 configured for SIP and not Google Voice, otherwise the SIP library in the firmware is not functional. No matter what though, you can only have 2 GV accounts per OBi, there is no way to set up a voice gateway for Google Voice, and if your OBi has 2 Google Voice accounts configured you will not be able to use voice gateways as there is no SIP functionality without 1 of the SP(x)s being configured for SIP.

What are you trying to accomplish?  For example, if you just want a local presence in five cities, you could put one GV account on SP1, register SP2 to the SIP provider with your TF, and set up the other four GV accounts with IPKall numbers, which all funnel into the SIP account.

If that doesn't meet your needs, please describe your application in some detail.
