Why is Anveo using the non-standard 5010 port?

Hi, I have a question about Anveo.

It says that I need to use 5010 as the proxy port if my SIP device does not support DNS_SRV.

So how do I know whether my ATA supports DNS_SRV or not?

Also, why all other SIP service providers ( like CallCentric, VOIP.ms, etc. ) do not have this very strange requirement?

Thanks.

You could try looking at your ATA's SIP settings:

Service Providers-->ITSP Profile X SIP-->X_DnsSrv

I checked my OBI-200 box. This field, DnsSrv, is checked, meaning this property is supported, right?

But then I found I still have to use port 5010. Otherwise registration to my Anveo account will fail. Strange.
