Power light steady green
Network light flickering like a normal network connection
Both line 1/2 solid green.
My account says the device is connected

Panasonic now reports no signal. No static/tone/sound when using speaker phone.
Suggestions? Was working yesterday. No weather problems

Thanks in advance. -Brian

The phone is reporting that it is not seeing the 50 volts that it should from the OBi's phone jack.  That 50 volts should be there all the time that the OBi is powered.  It doesn't need to be configured or even have a network connection to do that.

1.  Ensure that the phone cord is fully inserted at both OBi and phone ends.

2.  Try another phone cord.  They can fail for lots of reasons including animals chewing them and being yanked etc.

3.  Try another phone.

4.  If the phone is not directly plugged into the OBi, try doing so.  That is no extension cords, no use of house phone wiring etc.

5.  If still not working you need to check if the OBi is faulty.  Unplug the phone.  On your dashboard at obitalk.com click on the gearwheel containing a red E at the right hand end of the line for your OBi202. Under Production (sic) Information click on Status, then on Phone Status. For each of the two phone ports you should see 'On hook', Loop current 0mA, VBAT 50V (12 V) and TipRingVoltage 45 V.  Your voltage figures may be up to about 10% different.  If they are very much lower or completely absent then your OBi has a hardware fault which cannot be repaired.  A common cause of that failure is that the OBi has been connected to house phone wiring which has not been properly physically disconnected from an external telco line.  If that applies to you ensure that is rectified before using house wiring with a replacement OBi.

If the figures are OK plug in the phone and take it off-hook.  Refresh the web page.  If the figures do not change for the phone port you plugged into, then the wiring to the phone is the most likely culprit.
