Trouble with Anveo on Obi110

I've been using Obi boxes for quite a long time and recently tried to setup another Anveo line on one of my old 110 boxes (it's been in a box for several years).

I found that I had to update the firmware in order for it to show up in the obitalk portal. Obi/Polycom doesn't appear to have the last firmware online anywhere any more so I found the 1.3.0 (Build: 2884-naf8) firmware on another site. It installed and seems to work. I was able to make obi to obi calls with it.

But when I tried to setup Anveo it just reported Service Not Configured. I eventually found this post https://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?msg=17113 and tried to set it up "manually" in the built-in gui. But still the same issue.

Anyone have any suggestions for how to get this setup?

The latest official firmware for the OBi110 is 1.3.0-2886 and is still available in the same place where it has been for a long time.  https://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=9.0

Yes there have been reports that it is no longer possible to add or re-add OBi1x0 devices to a dashboard.  However it is and always has been possible to make OBi to OBi calls even if not registered on the portal.  (Recall the instruction leaflet saying to call the echo test number before adding to dashboard.)

Probably the most common reasons that manual configuration (for any ITSP) using the onboard web server interface fails are:

1.  Not disabling Obitalk Provisioning which means that the entered settings, even if correct, are immediately overwritten by the incorrect ones on the portal when the OBi is rebooted.

2.  Not appreciating that the SIP username and password are usually NOT the same as the username and password used to log in to the account on the ITSP's web site.

Have you tried that link successfully? If so, please post the exact URL to download that firmware.
In the past it has always been the link below which no longer works:

http://fw.obihai.com/OBi110-1-3-0-2886.fw

nor does:

http://fw.obihai.com/OBi-latest.fw

Can't find it on UK VOIP forums either. If you are aware of some other link please post it.

I have posted the latest OBi110 firmware for you:

https://anonfiles.com/WaC8l6M1y7/OBi110-1-3-0-2886_fw

I would suggest the following:
1>Download and install the latest firmware
2>Do a factory reset on your OBi
3>Configure Anveo manually on the built in web interface as the OBi1xx series is no longer supported on the OBiTALK portal......supposedly.

SIPProxyServer ------ sip.anveo.com
SIPProxyServerPort - 5010
X_DnsSrvAutoPrefix - checked

Then just add your Anveo generated username and password for AuthUserName and AuthPassword under SIP Credentials.
X_EnforceRequestUserID -- checked

Thanks to Taoman for the heads-up that the link in the official post is no longer working.  I confirm it doesn't work for me.

For anyone else who wants 1-3-0-2886 it can be downloaded from https://web.archive.org/web/20170426113142/http://fw.obihai.com/OBi-latest.fw

I did discover a couple of months ago that the dashboard would no longer configure an OBi100 I have in a remote location.  The Expert Mode is able to read its status and settings but cannot change them.

My Obi110 is already in my Obi dashboard, so no issue there.

Yup, I have played around with these settings. Still can't get it to work.

And I've also played around with a variety of username and password combinations. The sip user and password that Anveo shows in my Anveo dashboard should be the correct info but I have not been able to get it to register.

Conversely, I added this Anveo account as SP3 on my Obi202 through the Obitalk dashboard and it picked it up and registered it just fine. So there seems to be something about this 110 or the 100 series in general that is problematic. I've already done a factory reset but I'll give that a try again and report back.

You appear to have not read and understood the final paragraph of my post immediately above yours.  For the avoidance of doubt the "simple" mode of the dashboard fares no better than the Expert mode and applies equally to an OBi110 and an Obi100.

That is the issue.
