Greetings- I want to make sure that under System Management >> Auto Provisioning, I have the right settings for the firmware of my obi100 to be updated automatically.

Do I just select "periodically".... or are other changes required? thank you

Hey fuzzyeddie, I have modified my settings following the FAQ, but I haven't got a chance to test it myself, as the firmware hasn't been updated since.

1. Get the IP address of your OBi by dialing *** 1 from your handset and note the IP address.
2. Point your browser to the OBi IP address, e.g. http://192.168.1.102
3. Go to the System Management -> Auto Provisioning web page.
4. Modify the Auto Firmware Update parameter as follows:
   1. Method = Periodically
   2. Interval = a numeric value in seconds. For example, enter 86400 to check on a daily basis.
   3. FirmwareURL = http://www.obihai.com/firmware/OBi-latest.fw
   4. Click "Submit" on the bottom of the page. Then click "Reboot" on top right corner of the web page.

Have a nice day.

thank you for the kind response! That is useful

However, I'd like to not go that route, as I control a few obis at different locations for family members, and don't have access to check what the IPs are.

Under the expert configuration, on the tab "auto configuration".... There is this same option for automatic firmware updates. The FAQ doesn't mention what goes in the 2 forms labeled "username" and "password." Should I leave those blank?
