I set up the Obi according to Ron's instructions.

The Obi was already configured with those values.

Something doesn't compute here as those fields weren't in my instructions.

Please post the contents of:

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> General -> DigitMap

lad130@gmail.com

(<1718>[2-9]xxxxxx|<1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1xxxxxxxxxx|011xx.|(Mipd)|[^*#]@@.'@'@@.)

Then try my original instructions:

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> SIP -> OutboundProxy : (Default checked)
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> SIP -> OutboundProxyPort : (Default checked)

Hello NZ

RonR

Unless Stewart has some more suggestions, I would contact Anveo and ask them why the country code '1' that the OBi is sending to Anveo is being discarded at their end.

Stewart

You can probably work around this issue by setting Anveo's Dialing Format to Localized with Default calling country=USA.

However, I have no idea what could possibly cause this screwup.  You might try shutting down the Obi and testing Anveo with a softphone -- if it fails the same way you could contact their support.  Or, use SIP Debug (or capture the OBi's traffic directly) and see if the 1646 is really going out properly in the SIP.

I tried dialing out using a 718 area code and  I'm not sure what country I got.

Stewart

What's really bizarre about this problem is that (assuming Anveo correctly verifies the URI parameter in the Authorization header) it would not be possible, even in theory, for your router or other network device to butcher the called number, unless that device knew your SIP password!

Country code 7 is Russia, other than the US, it's the only single-digit code.

It Worked!  Thanks.
