incoming calls dont ring the phone

1) when someone calls our  number, only the phone not hooked up to OBi 101 rings
2) there is a dial tone on the the phone hooked up to the OBi
3) I can dial out using the phone via OBi/google


so i dont understand how i can dial out, there is a dial tone, but incoming calls dont reach the phone

As crazy as it might sound check if the ring volume is not turned off, or try connecting with another phone.

the phone had a dial tone--- that continued while the other phone was answered
the ringer volume was ok
replacing with another phone didnt make a difference

all of that made me realize the line in may not have been connected
and it wasnt--- had come out somehow-
i put it back and now everything is working fine~!

so thanks for your suggestions--- they put me on the right track, sometimes the simplest things

So you are saying you can make outgoing calls, but incoming calls are not coming is, is your GV setup also for your cell phone, if it is, check in the GV settings and make sure the forward calls is not check marked.
