I have obihai110 set up with a dry loop dsl and google voice. When someone calls the google voice number, they get "please leave a message for XXXXXX" right away. The phone will basically rings once.

I'm confused where should I change this, via obitalk or google voice.

Please help. Thanks.

onyxlinkia,

Definitely not Obitalk. There is no VMail service there.

Check to make sure that each of the phone number(s) the Google Voice number is setup to ring is not setup to automatically go to it's own voice mail service.  One of the target phone(s) may be picking up quickly and forcing the call to voice mail.  From the verbage indicated it doesn't sound like the Google Voice "standard" voice mail greeting but could be a custom greeting.  Check Google Voice Settings "Calls" tab and uncheck "Do Not Disturb" if it's checked.

Figured it out, silly me, I set GV to fwd all calls to my other cellphone before. Thanks so much for your help.
