Calls from google voice number to same google voice number not sent to the VM IVR. It returns as new call.

I set up one of my Obi's for my sister yesterday. Only google voice for all calls on SP1.
today she tried to call her GV number to check voicemail. When she dialed the number she got a "was rejected by the service provider" message, instead of GV sending the call direct to the VM IVR. The call history shows the call going from the Obi on SP1, but it also shows it coming back in as a new incoming call.

Hi jimates,

Out of curiosity, when you place the outgoing call, is it sending the Caller ID info correctly?  Like, if you try dialing someone else's number, does the right Caller ID for your GV Number show up on their phone?

pc44 ???

jimates

yea, the caller id is all correct.

I fixed the problem, I had set it up using siomon's server for the caller id name feature. Took it off there and went straight to google and now it works right.

Hi jimates,

Oh I see.  That would explain it.  I see you took it off of Simon's service, but if you ever decide to go back, all you do is dial 1186 to access your Google Voicemail via Simon Telephonics.

Hope it helps,

I put it back on Simon's for the CNAM. Dialing 1186 gets us nothing. With all VM notification to email she doesn't really need to access it at GV.
