Dial Tone Remains Despite Dialing *

I am trying to set up my obi. I've plugged everything in properly, and the right lights are green. When I try to add a device, I pick up the handset, dial **5 xxxx (where xxxx is four other numbers). I can hear the numbers dialing but when I'm finished dialing, I still have a dial tone. Nothing else happens - just a dial tone.

The status of my "soft phone" in the dashboard is offline. Does this mean anything?

I'm sure you will get the help you need to solve your issue.  However, we sure could use some more information from you.

Don't worry about the status of your Soft Phone.  It is not going to be part of your setup right now. 

1) What is the Model of your OBi (100, 110, or 202)

Can you call **9-222-222-222 ?

What type of phone do you have attaced to your OBi?

On the OBiTALK website.  Besides the Soft Phone, is there anything else showing up as a Device?

When I think dial tone remains after dialing I think reverse polarity on the wiring. Not sure if there is a fix in the Obi settings or not.
