Questions about Speed Dial

1) Is how to use Speed Dial described anywhere here http://www.obihai.com/OBiAdminGuide.htm ? I found how to program Speed Dial numbers in Admin Guide, but not how to dial them.

(I later found how to dial them at this page:http://www.obihai.com/docs/OBiFAQ.html via Google but isn't it something that has to be described in Admin Guide as well?)

2) After using portal for configuration I have my OBi number and my SoftPhone number programmed as Speed Dial 1 and 2 prepended by "**9".

Why would I need them programmed there? Why would I need to call myself?

The speed dial list is shared by the Obion app and the Obi itself. From the Obi you can speed dial to the app and visa versa.

Any endpoints you add to your account will automatically be added to the list. Also any trusted numbers you input are added to the list.
