Hello:

I can't even connect to **9 222 222 222!

I have been using an obi 110 for about six months. The past 3 months with Acrovoice and the previous months with Anveo & voip.ms. I actually used 2 different obi 110's - everything always worked fine.

I have turned off my MS firewall.

I have installed the obi 202 exactly as per the instructions included with the device.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yikes!!!!

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be?

have you tried it directly to a modem, no router in between.

I have Bell Canada Hi-speed Internet & FibeTV - it all comes through the same router.

Like I said, the OBI 110's work flawlessly when attached to the same internet cable.

Is the internet cable that comes with the OBI 202 different?

Thanks,

When I try to dial, I get a dial-tone.

When I dial: **9222222222 I get: "There is no service available to complete your call."

I get the same msg if the internet cable is not plugged in at all.

I get the same msg whether i plug the cable from my router into the "Internet" or "Lan" sockets on the OBI.

At least I don't the same msg if I unplug the power cable. If I did, I be really worried!  :)

Is my OBI broken?

Thanks for any suggestions,
Rob. (Obi newbie.)

Solved!!!

I went into the Bell router admin page and took a look at the System Logs and found this:

<31>Oct 21 00:24:08 DHCP [581]: no free leases on subnet 192.xxx.xxx.0

I looked at the Network - DHCP page and saw a ton of entries for PC's that I had connected to my internet to setup things for friends. I guess that there are only a limited number of 'Leases' available.

I deleted a few of these old, unused entries and hooked up the OBI 202 yet once again - it worked perfectly!

Leases, who knew!!!

It should be a self-correcting problem since leases are only suppose to last for a definite time then expire.
