The more I read these Feature Requests, the more I'm convinced that OBihai Technology might want to consider extending its product line to include and "inexpensive ($100 - $250)" Home Appliance PBX for Small Business/Home Office type applications. Maybe the Appliance could offer some form of Door Entry Function (SIP Door Intercom), Tie-in with IP Cameras, Alarm System/IP Central Station Monitoring (similar to the EnvisaLink 3), etc.
The appliance could be structured where users would purchase add-on pieces than could be plugged into the Appliance to extend its capabilities. I would really like to be able to answer the front door (when I'm not at home) from my Android Smartphone and be able to converse with the person at the door as if I was standing there. I do have A DoorBell Fon connected to my OBi110 (Phone Port), but this doesn't allow for remote two-way communication. I also have the EnvisaLink 3 connected to my Ademco Panel for IP monitoring and Detail Opening/Closing, remote ARM/Disarm, etc. What we need is a device which incorporates pretty much all these functions locally and/or through the cloud.
A lot of requests seems to be bordering on a PBX-like functionality, which in some cases might be met by the OBiPLUS network....but not quite.
