ISP Assigned IP Address

I just discovered that CallCentric now shows the IPS assigned address that is assigned to the router attached to my OBi. I have been asking if OBi could show that in the Expert Configuration Menu but there seems to be no interest. I use it because I have several OBi's setup around the world and sometimes they are not updated via DYNDNS and I need the current ISP assigned IP to log in and reboot. Rebooting from the Expert Configuration does not solve the problem.
I can't use CallCentric on some of the devices so having OBi show the ISP assigned address is the only solution.
I can only hope they will reconsider, if CallCentric can do it, why not OBi.

bsdaiwa,

You can see your ISP address in the "Expert Configuration Menu" in
Status->System Status->OBiTALK Service Status->Status = Normal (User Mode);ex-addr=109.59.72.81:1024

Owner of the 1st OBi110/100 units in service in Canada & South America. 1st OBi202 on my street. 1st OBi1032 in Montreal.

Looked at one of the devices in another location, Expert Configuraion Menu>Status>System Status>OBiTALK Service Status and saw:
Status   Normal (User Mode)
CallState   0 Active Calls

Nothing more, no ISP IP address.

I think it only appears if the Obi is the router. In my case I have a 202 connected directly to the modem and it shows my external IP address.

The 110 is behind that 202 and does not show the external IP address.

Is the reason that you cannot use CallCentric on some of the units because you are out of SP slots? I don't know if using a Gateway would help. I believe that you want to know the last IP assigned, and if the box needs a reboot, it may not be trying to send its IP anywhere.

Also, perhaps a Syslog account somewhere, logging just registrations.

Essentuually a Dynamic DNS system for an Obi, whether it is a router or not.

I am using 100's and 110's and all are connected to routers, none show ISP IP addresses.

My OBi202 is not set up as a router. I can still see my public IP as I showed in my previous post. Goes without saying that you need to have all the provisioning settings enabled going to the ObiTALK. This should work for all the OBi models.

This looks like a working dynamic dns solution for the OBi. It should do the job.
