How to disable GV voicemail?

While I am using OBI/GV, and another call getting in, the GV voicemail will pick up the incoming call and asks to leave a msg. But I do not want that to happen, I do not want to login to my GV to check the msg. I only want to my phone to record missed calls.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

You cannot disable GV Voicemail. This is probably the most requested feature. GV Voicemail picks up in 25 seconds. If you want your answering machine to pickup the call, you must set it to pickup before 25 seconds, usually 4 rings.
