Hi, I'm new to Obi and I just got it set up as my new home phone. I'm using Google Voice as the provider, but I don't really like the Google Voice voicemail answering system. Its not as user friendly as the handset's built-in answering machine that I'm using.

I was just wondering if it is possible to use my handset's answering machine instead Google Voice's voicemail system.

Yes, you can. Just set your andwering machine to pick up the call before 25 seconds. Usually 4 rings. Google voicemail picks up in 25 seconds and can not be changed.
