The "phone" LED is not lit on my obi110. "There is no service available to complete my call" is what I hear when trying to place a call. I do have the yellow triangle on the dashboard. Dialing ***6 for firmware update, there is not one available. What are some steps I can take to get service back ?

Have you tried rebooting the OBi?

Where are you seeing these?  On your OBi's internal web server?

It looks like your OBi isn't 'seeing' the internet or isn't 'seeing' a DNS server.

What do you hear when you dial ***1 ?

What do you hear when you dial ***2 ?

Rustifer

***1 my IP Address DHCP Enabled

***2 back up DNS server is my primary IP address

You may have to reset it back to factory defaults and start over re-configuring it from scratch. Hope you have all your UserIDs and passwords written down.

I was thinking the same thing. And I dont remember many passwords at all. None are written down.

***4 same IP address as ***1  & ***2

Problem resolved.

Steps taken -

Modify the DNSServer1 parameter value by accessing the OBi's webpage.
• Select System Management from the left-side navigation menu
• Select Network Settings
• Locate the parameter called: DNSServer1
• Make DNSServer1 = 4.2.2.2 (This is a free public DNS server)
• Select Submit to save and Reboot the OBi
Only took 8 hours and 22 minutes. What else am I gonna do when the outside temperature is 22 degrees.

When this thing works, it works great. When it stops working, it's a freaking booger-bear to get back.

Rustifer

Well, it worked just long enough for me to make a few calls. Then decided to upgrade the firmware. I should have left well enough alone. The little green light is out again and get the backing off message.

Lesson learned. Before spending an entire day trying to fix something, just start over from the beginning. Could have saved me 10 hours of searching and researching.
