I just configured a generic SIP provider and it shows it is connected.  The problem is I need to dial 8 then 1 then area code plus the number in order to get calls out.  for some reason Obi doesnt let me dial 8,1 area code plus the number I'm calling in order to get my calls out through this SIP provider.  Can someone help please.  Ooh I have this provider setup on SP2 and GV on SP1  Thanks

Thanks!

The following change:

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> General -> DigitMap :

(81xxxxxxxxxx|<8>1xxxxxxxxxx|<81>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|011xx.|xx.|(Mipd)|[^*]@@.)

will add the 8 automatically for you when you dial a 10- or 11-digit US/Canada number on SP2/ITSPB.

Even after this changes I get There is not service to complete this call.
remember I must dial 8 , 1 then (xxx-xxx-xxxx) for US calls or Even International calls.  Thanks

Not working yet!!

Is?:

Status -> SP2 Service Status -> Status : Registered

(Your original post said it shows Connected but it should show Registered.)

Assuming you have the VoIP provider on ITSPB, is?:

Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> X_ServProvProfile : B

With this DigitMap, you should be able to dial 1 + area code + number OR 81 + area code + number.

81 + area code + number should be sent out SP2 in either case.

Do you have PHONE Port -> PrimaryLine set to SP2 Service or are you dialing **2 in front of (8)1xxxxxxxxxx?

You didn't mention international calls in your original post.  If international calls also require a leading 8 (8011 + country code + number), you'll need a couple more additions:

(81xxxxxxxxxx|<8>1xxxxxxxxxx|<81>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|8011xx.|<8>011xx.|xx.|(Mipd)|[^*]@@.)

As with US/Canada calling, dialing the leading 8 is optional.  A leading 8 should be sent out SP2 in either case.
