The OBi products are designed primarily to work with ordinary analogue phones. Your Soundpoint is a SIP phone and can be used with all SIP providers without needing an OBi.
Having said that, there are some circumstances such as wanting to use Google Voice where using an OBi in conjunction with your Soundpoint can be a solution.
