OBiTalk Speed Dial Settings won't accept Hyphen

Hi all,

Have used an OBi110 for years as an unlinked device, but in order to get GV working I've linked it with my OBiTalk web account.

GV works great, but I have an unpleasant side effect.

The Speed Dial Settings in the web interface clean the input of any hyphens '-' before saving the number.

I can see why they might want to do this for normal phone numbers, however if renders the functionality useless if you want to dial a SIP phone with a hyphen in the username  :o

When I save it the hypen(s) is gone!

This doesn't happen when I add them locally, but of course, now that my account is linked, OBiTalk will overwrite any local changes (!)

How do I keep GV, but add hyphenated speed dials?

Thanks,

Phil.

You can use the local interface with GoogleVoice
Just turn off OBiTalk Provisioning from the local interface.

System Management -> Auto Provisioning
Under OBiTalk Provisioning
Method: Disabled

See this if you want to revert back to OBiTalk:

Many thanks, works perfectly... it's been driving me mad!

Looking at your link I too had a nasty surprise when enabling GV for the first time.

I had a ridiculously over engineered config that I stupidly hadn't backed up.... you live and learn!

Cheers!

Phil.
