Calls to my Obihai google voice setup from my cell ?

I am currently setting up and testing my new Obihai device and was just wondering if my cell phone provider will ding me for calling my google voice number since it's not in the same area code local?

I haven't seen a cell phone plan in years that charged different rates for calling local numbers vs. numbers in other US locations that would be considered long distance.

Ask your carrier how much they charge to call the number.  It has nothing to do with the number being a Google Voice number.  Google Voice telephone numbers are regular US land line numbers.
