Title: OBi200 and Anveo
Post by: PPTAZ on May 31, 2015, 11:26:07 PM
I'm a OBI newbie and I'm using the OBi200.  I first tried
GV with good results.  I saw where Obihai partnered with
Anveo, so I signed up for the Basic plan ($3.33/month).
Setup was a breeze. Everything works and I like the E911
feature and a way to test it using 933.  I also like the
spoofing feature, since my land line is not ported yet.
I feel the voice quality could be a little better?  What codec
is Anveo using when I call?  How can I check?  I'm using
DSL 12 down/ 1 up.  Any adjustments I could make
(OBi configuration, my router)?  Thanks in advance.

Log onto your Obi200 and under the Status Menu is Call Status. Start the call and then click on  the the call status when it will display details of the call including the codec in use.

Thanks.  I've done that several times, but I keep getting the message: " Cannot retrieve requested information from the device now. Please try again later."  I will keep trying.

Sounds like you are using OBiTALK.com.  Try browsing to the IP address of your OBi to login to its web interface directly.  Dial ***,1 to hear its DHCP-assigned IP address.  Login credentials are admin admin.  Then you can access Call Status.
