Title: Why do I need to buy warranty for my obi device that is over a year old

obi wont let me make changes to settings to my google voice account without buying warranty for $10.   That doesnt make sense.   I own the device outright and the device is perfectly fine.  They have blocked me out from my own device and are forcing me to buy this paid support plan to basically just use this device

This OBi device's annual support period has expired. To upgrade this device, a paid support plan is required.

To purchase support, use the button found in the Support and Warranty tab.

When device's support status is Active, the software update can continue.
