Title: Using OBI202 as (home)PBX
Post by: JDDD on June 15, 2015, 02:39:46 AM
Hi,
Next to the 2 PSTN lines, is there a possibility to connect to the OBI202 with a softphone through the WIFI (not OBIWiFi).
My Plan is to use a softphone (on PC, tablet, smartphone at home), to connect to the OBI202, making use of the dialplan within the OBI.
The dialplan is f.i. call landlines with VoipProvider1, cell phones with VoipProvider2.
The same dialplan I want to use for my softphones.

Secondly, then I do not need for more VoipProvider accounts to register, because the softphones are using the registered voiplines of the OBI.

Thanks for your help.

You can register multiple softphones to an OBi202 SP trunk. This is for Outbound only. The OBi202 inbound route for the SP will get control of the call. You must add code (dialplan) to the inbound route. Speed dials and the Star code profile are not available to the softphone. Inbound calls are route to the softphone by its IP address.

See:

I use the 2nd option starting on page 5.
