I received a new OBi100 today, and tried to get it going with Google Voice. It told me it needed to update the firmware, so I clicked yes to allow it. That process never completed after running for about 10 minutes. It's only supposed to take 30-90 seconds.
So I looked around and found the manual updating instructions. I downloaded the OBi-latest.fw file, and attempted to upload it via the OBi100's built-in web page. No luck. The upload gets stuck after 4% of upload (according to Chrome). I had no better luck with Firefox.
Full disclosure: I am running Fedora 21 Linux, but I don't think that should make any difference.
My current firmware version is 1.3.0 (Build: 2860M)
Any ideas?
Thanks,
- Corey
Update: I went through a couple of cycles of using the reset on the underside of the device, and was finally able to install the OBi-latest.fw. My current fw version is now 1.3.0 (Build: 2872), and I am able to get to the Google Voice Additional Terms of Service page. Yay!
