Title: Obi 100 Google Voice sound choppy when going out, but in is good
Post by: Mobidic on June 25, 2015, 06:41:09 AM
I have an obi 100, when I'm home using my obi 100 via Google Voice I can heard people perfectly, but my voice going out is choppy. I have extremely fast Internet and I have also setup QOS on the router.

Anybody know if the most recent version of Obi hardware like 110, 2xx, have a better implementation that fix that problem?

Read http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=9254.msg61389#msg61389 and following posts.  Run the test suggested by SteveInWA. Select the VoIP test and set codec type to G.711.

The OBi110 is essentially the same as the Obi100 except for the added POTS interface.  Both devices have the same firmware.

The 200 series is later and different, being based on an ARM processor.  The 1xx models are based on MIPS.

But I don't expect your choppiness would be cured by changing ATA.
