Title: Is it possible to set this up?
Post by: LexKY on July 31, 2015, 09:52:46 AM
I have a quick question. My house has 2 phone lines. On one of those phone lines, I have ported the number to Google Voice. Now, I only have one PoTS number now and that is what I refer to as my line 1. I just wanted to know if Obihai would still act as a line2 now that it is ported over to Google Voice. Is there anywhere on the Obihai machine to plug in the PoTS line and use the VoIP line 2 at the same time?

I know this does not sound too clear, please let me know if you need clarification. Thanks!

If your OBi device has an RJ-11 FXO (office) port or USB port for connecting an OBiLINE accessory dongle, you can connect to a traditional PSTN/POTS line trunk in addition to VoIP SIP/XMPP voice service trunks.  Some have reported issues with using the OBiLINE device.

An RJ-11 FXS (station) port is for connecting your actual phone.
