Title: Message waiting indicators
Post by: etinork on September 18, 2015, 07:55:07 AM
I've recently started using an oBI200, its working pretty well, and I'm thinking about ditching my current land line and going with oBI & GV exclusively.

One think I've not been able to figure out is if GV/oBI provides any sort of message waiting indicator, either by turning on the message waiting light on the phones, or by triggering a stutter dial tone when voice messages are waiting.

Thanks in advance to all the experts out there!

The OBi200 doesn't support MWI with GV. I believe you can setup a email alert in GV.

You can get MWI by using another VM account. Callcentric has free accounts with VM. You would fork the inbound call to the OBi200's phone and to your account at Callcentric. Callcentric VM should pick up before GV. I have setup Callcentric VM with MWI, but not this exact configuration.
