Title: Issues with Obi and false incoming calls
Post by: pred02 on October 25, 2015, 08:04:29 AM
Hi

I am using obitalk 202 combined with the voip.ms on a dd-wrt linksys router and a BT cordless phone. I have an issue that my cordless phone things it is receiving calls (INCOMING call unidentified) when it is not. During this sequence it also makes it difficult for me to dial out.

I swapped cordless phone (to a Siemens set) and I have the same issue.

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

This has not been an issue with any of my other OBi devices/setups.

Thanks

Probably SIP scanners. See http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=5467.0 for defences.

How do you know it's not? What does the call log on your OBi show? If it shows short calls coming from short/weird numbers it probably is Sip Scanners.

In addition to the link listed above you can just check the box next to X_AcceptSipFromRegistrarOnly on your VoIP.ms service.

Voice Service>SPx Service>X_AcceptSipFromRegistrarOnly
