Title: Google Voice OBI100 question
Post by: pducharme on December 29, 2015, 07:37:41 PM
Hi,

I have Google Voice (SP1) with a number they gave me when I signup.  Since i'm in Canada, I can't add my home phone number as one of my number (they say it's not in the same country than my Google Voice number).

I also have a Voip.ms SIP (SP2) account with my Local number (DID) in there.

I plan to use G.Voice only for Outgoing calls (because they are free vs voip.ms are 0.5cents/min) and it's working fine.

I would like to have my Outgoing calls display my voip.ms DID number on people caller ID so they know it's a call from me.... Is there a way to do that ??

Thanks!

No.  Google Voice does not permit outbound caller ID spoofing.  Use your voip.ms number for outbound calls instead.

Ok. I won't use voip.ms for outgoing calls because I don't want to pay :)  but that's fair enough.
